TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF:

I am an engineer turned photographer, startup advisor, cocktail and spirits aficionado.
 

CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT YOUR MOST RECENT PROJECTS?

My most recent photo project is to work with The Flavor Blaster, an all-in-one set including the equipment and aromatic flavors you'll need for drink bubbles, aromatic mist and smoke clouds. It was super fun to play with, also it has certain challenges to photograph which I truly enjoy as a photographer.

 

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE RECIPE YOU HAVE COME UP WITH USING AN ACC PRODUCT? WHAT WAS THE INSPIRATION BEHIND IT? 

Apri-Caught Showers! I was inspired by a recent recipe by the infamous Sother Teague where he would soak the garnish with the main spirits.


Apricot is known to work really well with bourbon. This mule drink kicks up a notch with some amazing spicy ginger mule mixer, 
it will be a huge hit for both mule lovers and bourbon lovers.

 

WHEN YOU ARE COMING UP WITH NEW DISHES OR DRINKS, DO YOU HAVE A SOURCE(S) FOR INSPIRATION?

Travel. I am an avid traveler who has visited more than 50 countries now. I take my inspiration from my experience, whether it is the ingredients or the name of the cocktail. 

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE RESTAURANT OR BAR, WHAT DAY OF THE WEEK DO YOU RECOMMEND IT, AND WHAT KIND OF EXPERIENCE CAN A VISITOR EXPECT?

My favorite kind of bar experience is a small and intimate setting. I love going to bars when it first opens, which is the time when the bartender doesn't get too busy, you can have great conversations!

WHAT INFO ABOUT COCKTAILS DO MOST PEOPLE MAKING DRINKS AT HOME NOT KNOW THAT WOULD BE HELPFUL TO THEM?

Chill your cocktail glasses first. I didn't really do this for like two years, then I realize how much difference it makes for a martini. Now I chill most glasses before I make the cocktails, I wish I have a separate freezer for it!

Smokin' Margarita

WHAT TRENDS (EITHER LOCAL OR INDUSTRYWIDE) ARE YOU NOTICING TAKING SHAPE AND HOW? 

Last year there were a lot of conversations about sustainability, but the primary focus was on the plastic straws. I hope this year we will move the conversation beyond the straws. 

ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHARE? 

I truly love brandy and believe it is undervalued. I would love to help with the brandy tasting and education.
